Biography:

North Carolina-based Will McGaughey is an instrumental guitarist with wide-ranging experience. He’s been in bands from various musical genres – including rock, blues, jazz rock and fusion – and has toured in the Southeast United States. He’s also taught and studied music for years.

McGaughey now spends all his time writing, playing, and recording original instrumental progressive rock. His guitar sound is warm and fat, and his song style has a big dose of melody, with fresh chords and transitions. He’s also no stranger to playing with famous musicians and celebrities. McGaughey has jammed with renowned instrumentalist Steve Morse. His track Moving Day features Rod Morgenstein (Dixie Dregs, Winger) on drums and Mark Yarbrough plays drums on Scarlet.
