About Dyonisis

The others were arguing over which genre to inhabit… We danced out of the musical pandora’s box whilst no-one was looking. Bringing with us a breath of musical fresh air…

We play with layering etherial soundscapes driven along by pulsing basslines. Two voices individual from each other, yet blending together, weaving emotion, memories and impressions into songs embroidered by haunting guitarlines.

Formed in 2005 when Marcus & Lou joined the song writing duo of Tom & Nel. The band hit the live scene running, building up a following. The journey has involved ever bigger shows playing with the likes of NFD & Emilie Autumn. We are regularly placed comfortably within the top 50 uk unsigned gothic acts in the myspace charts & have achieved a number one in the Pzaaz download chart. We have just released our debut album, Dyonisis, and are currently working on material for a second.

“…This is a fantastic record, and how they proceed and develop is going to be intriguing. It doesn’t matter which genre mentioned appeals to you, you can get such a lot out of this, a sure sign of immense quality to come.” ~ Mick Mercer

“The band aren’t worried about fashions, so sound timeless. If Dyonisis can offer sustained momentum they deserve a large and devoted fan base. They deserve to be huge. I can’t wait to see them live.” ~ Hard-wired.org

“melodic and enchanting” ~ Sandman Magazine

“Awesome stuff… 8/10″ ~ Ravenheart Music
